Is YouTim Announcements free?
Yes, completely free, with no in-app purchases and no ads.
Difference between Announcements and Chat?
The chat is a conversation where everyone writes. Announcements are the group's official channel: only admins post, so that important information doesn't get lost in the flow of messages.
Who can post an announcement?
The YouTim's admins. They can appoint other admins — handy for an association's committee.
Can I see who has read an announcement?
Yes. Admins see “Read by x/y” under each announcement, and the details by tapping it. A member counts as a reader as soon as they have opened the announcements after it was posted.
Can members react or comment?
No: announcements can't be commented on, to keep the channel easy to read. To talk about them, use the YouTim's chat.
How are announcements organized?
With pages: the admin can create topic pages in addition to the main page, and reorder announcements by dragging them. Each announcement can be marked important or urgent and carry an attachment: photo, voice message, document or link. Announcements stay online until they are deleted.
